Three of MDI Group’s markets were recently listed among the top 10 fastest growing cities in the U.S. From 2000 – 2010, the average national population growth rate was less than 10%, but each of the cities listed saw at least 30% growth. With a branch office in Charlotte, Austin and Greenville, MDI Group is ready to draw on local market expertise to help organizations tackle what’s next in terms of emerging technology projects and challenging business objectives.
At number one on the list, Charlotte saw 64.6% growth in population from 2000 – 2010. Charlotte boasts a thriving banking industry and is known as the second largest financial center in the U.S. With many well known banks operating out of Charlotte and creating jobs, the city’s population has increased significantly over the last decade.
Austin is ranked number five on the list with 51.1% growth over the ten year period. The city is known for attracting numerous technology companies over the years. For instance, companies such as Facebook, LegalZoom and more have operations in Austin, and this has given the city a strong high-tech reputation.
Greenville came in at number nine on the list with 32.5% population growth. Greenville is part of an area called “The Upstate,” which has many international firms. The international draw is partly a result of the area’s textile manufacturing past as people from all over the world came to the area to buy and sell textile goods.
At MDI Group, the success of our IT workforce solutions is largely based on our local market expertise.
