Ella Marie Koscik, Chairperson

As Chairperson of the Board and owner, Ella oversees the nationally recognized success, growth and profitability of the premier Atlanta-based IT staffing solutions firm. She ensures the profitability of a $50M company with 120 clients nationwide, 60 internal employees and hundreds of technology workforce consultants in seven offices: Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Dallas, Fort Worth, Greenville, and Phoenix.

Ella was named a “Top 25 Power Women to Watch” by Atlanta Woman Magazine and awarded the 2010 “Trailblazer of the Year” by the Greater Women’s Business Council of Georgia and the Carolinas for entrepreneurial success and innovation.

Through her 20-year award-winning leadership with a focus on integrity, entrepreneurship and philanthropy, Ella has groomed and retained key leadership and employees for more than 10 years. She built MDI’s strong hiring, training, executive training and development program.

Richey Brownfield, Chief Executive Officer

Richey Brownfield is responsible for achieving the company’s operational objectives. Richey was hired by MDI Group in 1999 as a technical recruiter and has held several operational and sales leadership positions – including Professional Services Delivery Director, Area Vice President and COO­ – before his appointment to CEO in 2012.

Among his many achievements, Richey launched and managed MDI Group’s Contingent Workforce Management division and played an integral role in developing the Managed Service Provider (MSP) programs utilized by multiple Fortune 500 clients. As COO, Richey was instrumental in restructuring the company’s service delivery strategy to focus on local markets where the business operates, diversifying its client base and growing consultant headcount, which strengthened the company’s value proposition and presence in each local market served.

Rick Hayslip, Chief Financial Officer

As MDI Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Rick Hayslip works closely with other executives to maintain the company’s long tradition of profitability and innovative IT service. Rick’s diverse management experience – attained from working at large and small firms – is instrumental in keeping MDI Group both entrepreneurial and structured.

Connie Chiasson, President

Connie Chiasson is responsible for delivery of all the company’s IT Workforce Solutions, which includes a full range of information technology staffing services and contingent labor solutions. She has been in a leadership role with MDI Group since 2005 and has 25 years of sales and business development experience and more than a decade of staffing and recruiting expertise. She is involved in community outreach with many national technology associations and local business groups including the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).

Brian Knapp, Executive Vice-President, Operations

Brian Knapp joined MDI in 2003 as the Managing Director of the company’s Phoenix office and was promoted to VP of Service Delivery in 2011. In 2012, his role was expanded to EVP of Operations where he now is responsible for all of MDI Group’s Operations, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Human Resources, Training and Managed Service Programs. Brian is skilled as a strong sales management leader and also as a knowledgeable and experienced operations manager with a reputation for building strong, cohesive, loyal and successful sales and fulfillment teams.

Pam Gates, Director of Talent Development

Pam Gates focuses on talent acquisition and training development for the staffing and client management resources of MDI Group. She is a solution-oriented leader in IT staffing and project delivery with more than 15 years of experience in the recruiting and staffing industry.
