Challenge

Consultant orientation (on-boarding) is critical for getting new hires ready to jump into the client’s culture and project with immediate productivity. Since the client was such a large organization, most new hires were overwhelmed with the initial learning curve and were not able to assimilate quickly enough. As a result, the CIO was receiving feedback from his directors and global technology leaders that productivity and project completion was suffering.

Solution

MDI was engaged to create a uniformed on-boarding process to accelerate productivity and project completion by providing housekeeping information and documentation to new hires in advance. Within just a few weeks, MDI had created a multi-page document and questionnaire for new consultants to get them up to speed quickly and efficiently.
