MDI Group Promotes Two Senior Executives, Prepares for Expanded Growth
Atlanta – October 2, 2009 - MDI Group, a provider of IT Workforce Solutions, has promoted two executives to senior leadership positions:
- Connie Chiasson has been named President of MDI Group’s IT Workforce Solutions division. She previously served as director for the division’s Atlanta office.
- Richey Brownfield has been named Chief Operating Officer. Brownfield previously served as MDI Group’s Vice President of Operations.
CEO Ella Koscik said these promotions are part of the company’s continued focus on its core competency—IT Workforce Solutions. With the new leadership structure, she says, MDI Group is now better positioned to support clients in delivering high-touch, consultative IT staffing and MSP solutions.
"As we’ve restructured over the past year, we’ve seen tremendous benefits for both MDI Group and our growing list of clients," Koscik said. "Part of that restructuring is recognizing top talent with deep experience in IT operations, staffing and sales. Both Connie and Richey have these qualifications, and then some, to lead us toward our new goals."
Chiasson has been with MDI Group for five years and has quickly risen through the ranks. Prior to her role in Atlanta, she was director of the company’s Greenville, S.C. branch. While in Greenville, she spearheaded IT Workforce Solutions services throughout South Carolina, developed a sales force, and turned the branch into one of the top-performing branches in the company.
"Connie brings a focus to sales and clients that the market really needs," Koscik said. "She also has a real strength in both the Managed Services Program and IT Workforce Solutions."
Chiasson succeeds Mike Cleland, who has been with MDI Group for 15 years.
"When I came back to the Atlanta market, Mike spent time with me on handling this complex business at a higher level," Chiasson said. "I look forward to continuing his work and expanding MDI Group’s reach."
Brownfield, meanwhile, has been with MDI Group for more than 10 years. As the new COO, he brings substantial IT staffing operations and consulting experience in contingent workforce management.
Koscik said Brownfield has been instrumental in MDI Group’s outperformance of other IT staffing firms and the company’s ability to significantly improve operational efficiencies from 2008 to 2009.
"Richey just gets this business," Koscik said. "His knowledge of IT is truly amazing. He brings a wealth of IT industry experience that provides the highest level of operational support to our clients."
